And it is quite creepy to think that I went to New Orleans the weekend before they cleared a state of emergency on the whole city and the city that we visited last weekend, has now become a ghost town due to hurricane Gustav. I rented a car on the Friday and after picking Tara (same friend from San Fran and radio head show) from the airport and having lunch in Memphis we headed out to New Orleans at a much later time than arranged, about 5 hours later! at 7 in the evening! The journey took us 7 hours. I am so glad that Tara joined me and although I don't know many of her friends back in San Fran, but I love them for talking her into coming out with me. The journey to New Orleans was really easy from Memphis, but it was so nice to have someone in the car, specially when she took over and drove for a bit. We reached our final destination (Hilton Hotel) in New Orleans. It was of course incredibly grand, but I was so tired that even if at that point they had put me in a gold tub, I couldn't care less! We finally managed to get into our room by about 3 in the morning.
